Chapter 01
Five tiers, one ladder
Auto Perfection prices detailing as a ladder of five packages: Detail Wax, Interior Detailing, Exterior Detailing, Interior + Exterior, and Interior + Exterior + Engine. You pick the rung that fits the car, and the price follows the size of the vehicle, from a compact up to a Sprinter or a work van.
Detail Wax is the light rung, meant for newer or well-kept cars. It is a foam wash to lift dirt, grime and bug splats, a clay massage, ceramic spray wax, vents, gauges and knobs wiped clean, mats shampooed and vacuumed, windows in and out, and wheels, wells and tires dressed. It is not a heavy-cleaning package. On a compact it starts at $79, and on a sedan or crossover at $99.
Interior Detailing and Exterior Detailing are each their own job, and the shop lists exactly what is left out of each. The whole package, Interior + Exterior, is the one Auto Perfection recommends for first-time customers, because it is meant to bring a car back to a showroom appearance. What the whole package covers
On the outside, the Interior + Exterior package starts with a foam wash and a full-body clay massage, then paint correction at 80% defect removal and a paste wax sealant. Door jambs get cleaned, wiper blades get cleaned, and any wax residue is cleared out of the logos and trim
Inside, vents, cup holders and the steering column are steamed to disinfect. Leather, vinyl and plastics are conditioned to a satin finish, and the carpets and seats are shampooed. Headliners are only done when you ask for them. On a compact the package starts at $199, and on a sedan or crossover at $229.

Chapter 03
Before you drop it off
Take your belongings out of the car first. The shop is not responsible for anything left inside, so empty the door pockets, the console and the trunk before you pull into High Street.
Listed prices are minimums for a car in moderate condition. A car that needs more is priced on top of the package: heavy pet hair from $45, tar from $10, heavy stains from $15, tree sap from $15, and heavy oxidation from $50. Ask Dan about any of them when you call.

Where a detail ends and a coating begins
A package leaves the paint clean, corrected and waxed. If you want that finish to stay slick and easy to wash, the next step is ceramic coating after the detail, which the shop applies on top of a corrected exterior.
