Chapter 01
Oxidation off the gelcoat
A boat that lives outside goes chalky. The gelcoat dulls, the white turns gray and the shine you remember from the day it was launched is gone. Taking that oxidation off is priced by the foot of boat. Oxidation removal and protection: Starting at $45/foot.
The steps are wet sanding, a machine polish and marine-grade protection over the finished gelcoat, with the plastics and vinyl detailed at the same visit. Wet sanding is priced at $30 to $45 a linear foot.
Trailer boats fit in the bay at 400 High Street and the work is done indoors, out of the weather, right here on High Street in Hackettstown.

Three washes, priced by the foot
Not every boat needs sanding. If the gelcoat is in decent shape, the choice is between three levels of wash and finish, all priced per foot of boat.
A basic boat wash starts at $20 per foot. Wash and wax starts at $25 per foot. Polish and wax starts at $35 per foot.
These are starting prices. As with every vehicle we work on, the condition of the boat moves the number, and the quickest way to a real figure is to call the shop with the length and describe what the hull looks like.
Chapter 03
Jet skis
Jet skis: detail wax from $79, full detail from $125.
Jet skis come into the same bay as the bigger boats. Two of them are in the shop window in the photos below. Call with the make and how long it has been since the last detail, and we will tell you which level fits.
We also detail motor homes and campers, so if the trailer behind the boat needs the same treatment, mention it when you call.

Tell us the length of the boat and what the finish looks like, and we will quote it by the foot. Wet sanding and oxidation removal are the marine jobs; if the car that tows it needs attention too, the auto detailing packages are priced by vehicle size on the detailing prices by vehicle size page.
